Mommy/Daddy & Me Art

A gentle, playful art class designed for young children and their caregivers to explore creativity together. Through process-based art activities, sensory materials, and guided exploration, children build fine motor skills, confidence, and a love of making while sharing a meaningful creative experience with a trusted adult.

Introductory Sewing

This hands-on class introduces students to the fundamentals of sewing, including hand stitching, machine basics, fabric types, and simple patterns. Students will build practical skills while creating beginner projects and developing patience, problem-solving, and pride in their work.

Drawing Foundations

Instructors: Sonia Crouse
Students focus on mastering still life drawing techniques using graphite pencils. Through close observation and guided practice, students build strong observational skills and artistic confidence while learning to pay attention to detail. This hands-on studio emphasizes drawing from real objects, with a focus on composition, lighting, value, and depth.

Stitching the Past:
Historic Clothing & Sewing

This hands-on studio course introduces students to historical clothing through sewing, design, and material culture. Students study period garments, fabrics, and construction techniques, then create a simple historical costume or garment connected to their research and performance work. The class emphasizes foundational sewing skills, craftsmanship, and historical context, culminating in students wearing their completed pieces as part of their historical presentations.

Zentangle Portraits: Pen & Ink
4-Week Mixed Media art Class
Begins Friday, February 6th
Ages 9+

Class dates: Feb. 6, Feb. 13, Feb. 20, Feb. 27
Get ready to dive into color, pattern, and personality! In this four-week art class, students will create a bold zentangle-style portrait using pen, ink, and optional pops of color! Students will learn how to design expressive faces and break them into sections filled with playful lines, shapes, and repeating patterns. We’ll experiment with texture, rhythm, and contrast while layering details over time, turning each portrait into a one-of-a-kind explosion of creativity.
This class is perfect for students who love drawing, doodling, and experimenting with color, and for those who enjoy slowing down and getting lost in the process. By the end of the session, each student will complete a finished, eye-catching portrait that reflects their unique style and imagination.

Painting with Paper
4-Week Collage art Class

In this four-week visual arts class, students will explore painting and paper collage, learning how color, texture, and composition work together. Students will experiment with mixed-media techniques and create their own finished collage art piece by the end of the class. All skill levels are welcome.
