Program Overview

Williamsburg School for the Arts & Innovation is entering an exciting season of growth. With the purchase of our new building and the upcoming approval of our facility permit, we are expanding our programs significantly in 2026. Renovations will soon be underway to create dedicated rehearsal studios, workshop spaces, and an intimate performance venue that will allow our students to learn, create, and perform all under one roof.
We have classes beginning January 26th, and will continue to add to our offerings thorughout the Spring and Summer 2026. Planned areas of study are laid out below. Keep checking back for updates on offerings and classes starting soon!

-
Youth Theatre Productions: Our year-round theatre program—Page to Stage—offers young performers the chance to take part in full-scale productions. Students learn every aspect of performance and production while building confidence and teamwork. Click HERE for more information on our theatre program.

-
Performing Arts: Our performing arts classes invite students to step into the world of acting, movement, and storytelling. Through scene work, character development, improvisation, and stage presence, students build expressive skills that strengthen both confidence and creativity.

-
Fine Arts: Our fine arts offerings give students the chance to explore drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more. Classes focus on developing foundational techniques while encouraging imaginative thinking and individual artistic style.

-
Music: From vocal training to musical exploration, our music programs help students develop fundamental skills and performance confidence.

-
Dance: Our dance classes integrate conditioning, technique, and choreography to help students build strength, flexibility, and expressive movement skills. Classes blend structured training with creative exploration, giving dancers the opportunity to learn, retain, and perform choreography while developing confidence and artistry.

-
Behind-the-scenes training (tech and stage management): Students interested in what happens offstage can dive into lighting, sound, set design, props, costumes, and the essentials of stage management. These hands-on classes empower students to build technical skills and understand the full production process.

-
Sewing and Costuming: Our sewing and costuming classes teach essential skills—from hand-stitching and machine sewing to pattern work and costume design. Students create practical projects as well as theatrical pieces, blending creativity with craftsmanship.

-
Yoga: Our yoga classes support students in building strength, flexibility, and a deeper mind–body connection. Through Vinyasa and Hatha-inspired flows, students explore intentional movement, breathwork, balance, and alignment. Yoga classes encourage focus, mindfulness, and overall well-being, offering a supportive environment for middle schoolers, teens, and adults to develop both physical and mental resilience.

-
Enrichment classes (humanities, leadership, and gardening/sustainability): These enrichment offerings give students opportunities to explore history, literature, leadership, and hands-on environmental learning. Whether analyzing stories, growing gardens, or developing communication and teamwork skills, students connect their learning to the world around them.
